That’s not a good excuse. But, it’s true. This is my absolute favorite time of the year… from Labor Day to Thanksgiving. It’s [...] Saturday night I hopped in a cab after watching the Derby and having a fun dinner with my dad. I normally would have taken the subway, but I wanted to make the next train and time was tight. The cabby started asking me the usual questions… Did you have a good day? Where do [...] I work at an online media company. We do very little print work and when we do…it’s a pretty big deal. Yesterday afternoon we were working on the production schedule for a large print project. A production schedule is basically a project plan with a very detailed list of every step in the process including [...] How the heck will I get to Kathmandu? I started investigating itineraries and none looked too good. The flight is amazingly long and outrageously expensive. That got me to thinking…as long as I’m in Thailand, why not visit Cambodia? And, if I’m going to Cambodia…why not a quick stop in Vietnam? I sound just like [...] Over the weekend I tried to figure put how I was going to start my Base Camp training. It’s time. And, I need a new hobby. I am ready to go to the gym. Not that I like “going” to the gym, but once I’m there I enjoy it. The gym really hasn’t been the same [...] Having a big, bodacious goal can really make the little crazies of life much more bearable. I have to remember this more often. Actually, my life is pretty good. But, every once in a while it gets crazy. This past month I have had many second thoughts about this trip. But, each time I [...] That’s right! I’ve reserved my spot to trek to Mount Everest Base Camp! I can’t believe it! The adventure begins on October 13, 2011. That’s just about one year from now. And, if it’s in my iPhone…it must be real! Having a date, an actual “The trip starts on XX/XX/2011″ to plan against will really make this adventure seem much more real to me.
