I have to admit it, today was pretty terrific. I closed the loop on a bunch of small projects that had just been hanging out there until I had “time to finish them.” Unfortunately, not all of my chores are done, but I feel pretty good nonetheless.
I guess that’s why people like to get away from home. If I had been in Miami, I wouldn’t have been tempted to go through the 12-inch pile of paper that had been accumulated in my bedroom (and found an uncashed check). Or spend an hour going through old magazines. These chores took longer than I thought, but I’m glad I did it.
By the end of the day I was looking forward to a little activity. I almost went to see Sex and the City 2, but thankfully I zipped back to reality and decided to go to they gym after dinner instead. But, my efforts were thwarted. I forgot the gym closes at 6:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Drat!
Oh well, off to the book store to get a travel guide about Nepal. Easier said than done, but I found one. The Lonely Planet book I found is 420 pages long filled with pictures and maps. Most of the information I’ve found has been online, but this old-fashioned print tour guide is wonderful. This is going to be an amazing trip…and the journey is not too bad either.
