Can’t. Breath. At. All. Managed to walk up 6 flights of stairs. It was grueling. A couple of times I wondered exactly how long I’d be in the stairwell, hovering close to death, before anyone found me. This is not good. Six flights of stairs. I guess I’m glad to know where I’m starting, but come [...] Living at sea level, it’s hard to imagine just how high Everest Base Camp (EBC) really is? In feet, it’s 17,500 feet above sea level. Okay, but how high is that? In comparison, Pike’s Peak in Colorado is 14,115. That means that EBC is approximately 3,400 feet higher. The Empire State Building is 1,250 feet tall. So, EBC [...] It’s official…next April I’m participating in a trek to Mount Everest Base Camp. A few months ago, I decided to shake things up a bit. Rattle the status quo.
