Question Yak is terrific. He knows just the question to ask. No, Question Yak, it’s not your grunting that’s keeping me awake (I bet I can find an audio file of Yak noises if I looked hard enough). It’s all the information about Mount Everest that is available online.
This week I’ve been up way past my bedtime every night. I just can’t seem to turn off the computer.
You see, I have a little Internet problem. Maybe you can relate. I like to click from one thing to the next digging in deeper and deeper until I don’t remember where I am or how long I’ve been at it.
I’ve been watching YouTube videos about everything and anything related to my trek. Plus, reading blogs about Everest. And, I should mention I’m following folks on Twitter who are actually on Everest. All this content consumption means I’ve managed to get less sleep than I need. That is not good.
I have to get to sleep earlier if I’m going to get up earlier. To do that, I must limit my computer time. (Why do I suddenly feel like a middle schooler?) My new resolution is Everest on the Interweb only on nights I’ve worked out.
